Become a Friend of Gillespie Park
If you want to become a Friend of Gillespie Park please send an email to ecologycentre@islington.gov.uk and they will pass your email on to us.
The Friends of Gillespie Park Committee meets from time to time and has its AGM in the spring, when you can enjoy a guest speaker and have a glass of wine. We also help organise several community events each year with the team at Islington Ecology Centre.
How to find Gillespie Park
Gillespie Park is tucked in by the Mainline Train service for Kings Cross north and southbound and Drayton Park, Arsenal Tube Station and St Thomas's Road.
Entrances to Gillespie Park are on Drayton Park, Gillespie Road, Quill Street and Seven Sisters Road.
Gillespie Park is open daily from 8am to dusk, except on Arsenal home match days when both the reserve and the Ecology Centre are closed.
The Ecology Centre is open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday. At the weekend the Ecology Centre is closed to the public as it is hired for children's parties. If you would like to hire it, please contact ecologycentre@islington.gov.uk
Disabled Access: There is a disabled parking space at Gillespie Park. The access for this parking is from Drayton Park. The paths around the Ecology Centre are suitable for wheelchairs.
Dogs: Most of Gillespie Park is designated as dog-free. Dogs are allowed in the section of park accessed from the St. Thomas's Road and Gillespie Road entrances.
